The project proposes the development of a community space of 280.60 m2, a community station; an invitation to stop, intended to bring together the inhabitants of the city and generate a place for social, cultural and economic exchange. At the same time, the proposal aims to create a new pedestrian path perpendicular to the main pedestrian walkway in downtown Celaya heading towards the intervention site in order to create new green areas in the city.
The site had an old house designated as a heritage building, thus with the limitation of being able to demolish only the interior walls. Therefore, it was decided to open a patio in the center, establishing a direct connection with the new street and placing a new metallic structural skeleton exempt from the heritage structure that holds the new program and allows a clear distinction between the old and the new.
